Chloë Smith is an artist working with dance, theatre, film and live performance.

Chloë's previous work has ranged from intimate durational performance, to large site-specific intergenerational work and small solo performances. She is interested in notions of honesty, intimacy, softness and community, often drawing on her own lived experiences.

Through her work she seeks to bring people together and to begin conversations. She often works with intergenerational groups of performers and non professional performers.

Since the death of her brother in 2015, Chloë has been creating a series of works around grief. These works address her desire to talk more about this feeling of grieving and to find new ways to think, talk and feel our grief.

Based between North Northumberland and the Scottish Borders, Chloë draws influence from the local coastline and the sea, and finds great inspiration from swimming in the sea all year round.

She graduated in 2012 with a First Class BA (Hons) in Choreography with Visual Art Practices from Dartington College of Arts / Falmouth University.
